Great to see your passion. Australia is very similar in terms of abundance of sun and yet our take up rate for solar is not that high. Hopefully government initiatives currently in place will assist with this.

The problem with the ipad as an alternative to the kindle is that it uses a total different screen technology.

I saw a few days ago someone who compared both screens under a microscope and you can see the difference with your own eyes.
The ipad is great for surfing the net but after a few minutes of reading a book - i quickly get head strain and prefer to stop reading.

People need to stop saying the ipad is a book reader- its a table pc!

Drake, did you not realized this post is from a Canadian? Their founding fathers had nothing to do with our freedom of speech and in fact they are still part of the British monarchy as you probably already know.

You're right it all boils down to economics. You quit buying their products, and they will surely take a more proactive approach.

We can live better by purchasing less, if only we let go of the misdirected and destructive more-bigger-faster mantra of our consumer culture enticed by corporate greed and political power.

What a Stuff. This is what I am looking for. I can share this information with my friends & with my collegues. It grows from the theological idea that human value is a scarce thing, represented symbolically by the narrow peak of a pyramid..

Yes! It is now an international movement - pick a beach, call your friends, grab a camera and off you go this Sunday! BTW - did you hear the Liberal party has agreed to support legislation against tanker traffic off the BC Coast? From the Dogwood Initiative http://dogwoodinitiative.org/media-centre/news-stories/ignatieff-supports-oil-tanker-ban-off-b.c.-coast-1
